Prerequisites
The Zymtrace backend can only be deployed in a containerized environment. You can install it using Kubernetes or Docker Compose.
Installation Options
There are two ways to install Zymtrace:
- AI-Assisted Installation — Use the Zymtrace skills and subagent within Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, or Cursor to install Zymtrace via natural language (e.g. "install Zymtrace on my EKS cluster"). The assistant runs the right workflow — backend, profiler, exposure, upgrades — and confirms each change with you. See AI Agent Skills for setup and the full skill list.
- Manual Installation — Deploy the components yourself with Kubernetes (Helm) or Docker Compose: install the backend, then add data with the profiler.
Air-Gapped Environments
If you are in an air-gapped environment without internet access, we publish public images on dockerhub and ghcr that you can mirror into your internal repository.
